In 1997, he obtained a Master of Arts degree from New York Institute of Technology, then worked as an art director in an advertising agency in New York. Since 2004, he has been residing in San Francisco, working as a freelance photographer mainly focusing on personal projects. He is also volunteering at two non-profit art workshops, teaching photography to low-income homeless people and foster youth.
